Not able to join us for the 2019 MS0 Weekend? You may download the handouts and presentations here.
MS0 Weekend will take place on Friday, February 8 and Saturday, February 9, 2019. Typically, the program will begin at around 10:00AM on Friday morning. The Saturday program has some optional aspects, but if you’d like to stay throughout its entirety, the program will conclude by 4:30PM on Saturday afternoon.
This event is by invitation only. A link will be sent to accepted applicants starting early December. If you did not receive the link to RSVP, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Yes, please. You will have a chance to meet many your future colleagues in the Class of 2023 along with other classes. You will also receive useful information in talking to students about what it’s like to start the medical school journey! Our MS0 Weekend events will offer the opportunity to discuss an array of topics during breakout panels, get a sense for housing opportunities and neighborhoods, as well as learn more about the on-boarding process. There will be many fun and interactive activities including our annual Celebration of Cultures in addition to a field trip to the Dallas Arts District!
Attendance is not mandatory; however our current students have consistently told us how valuable the experience is to attend.
Absolutely not! MS0 Weekend is a terrific opportunity to learn more about UT Southwestern and to interact with current students, staff, Associate Deans, and future classmates. However, in the event you’re not able to attend, there will be plenty of opportunity to get up to speed during our MS1 Orientation-Southwestern Style week!
You may also request a Second Look visit on a different date if that interests you! Please email email@example.com to do so, and we’ll help you arrange a day-long visit!
Yes! You will receive all the materials distributed at MS0 Weekend. Of course, a few handouts can’t replicate the entire experience...
You are welcome to bring a spouse or significant other. Just let us know when you RSVP.
Housing will be provided by our current students for those who do not live locally! When you RSVP, you will have an opportunity to indicate a desire to stay with a student. However, we will not be able to provide lodging for your guest. There are numerous hotels in the area. See negotiated hotel rate list.
Casual. We’re not going to hospitals or clinics. Dress comfortably.
You are welcome to use the Bryan Williams, M.D. Student Center anytime this weekend. Just show your MS0 Weekend name tag at the desk.
You may use the “Guest” network while on campus.
Please check email and/or this website for announcement about inclement weather.
